Playing Lotto Get's Expensive

September 28th, 2006 at 11:15 pm

I loved to play Lotto, (past tense) I would buy scratch off cards at $1 to $5 and I would play the megas and regular lotto when the pots were high and when they were not. I decided to save all my tickets for one year and I added them up and foound that I spent $987.00 for that year in lotto games. Know what I could have done with that money. I was sick when I realized how much I wasted on a game. That game gave me little wins like $1-$40 every now and then. After getting over my sickness I QUIT PLAYING! Now I save the money that I would have spent on games and put it to better use.
MY RETIREMENT!

Saving's today $2.00
Found dollar on ground $1.00
Total saving's day $3.00

Have a great savings day!

Yeah, I'm glad because I think the lottery is ultimately a waste of money.

In fact, I've written up a few blog entries on that... and you may find one of them to be interesting in terms of putting the numbers into perspective.

The odds aren't with you. You can be sure that the house (state) wins. I see you will be keeping your money at home Smile
